McMaster University’s DeGroote PainHQ portal

Online community for individuals dealing with neuropathic pain

About This Project

The DeGroote PainHQ, by McMaster University is an online community for individuals dealing with neuropathic pain that offers high-quality education and information.

McMaster University’s PainHQ was in need of user experience design and visual design services to bring life the www.painhq.org website. We want PainHQ to serve as an inspiration and a resource to others, providing lessons and tools for those who are interested in support. It should provide easy access to online information, services and reviews.

Improved Site Design

The new site is eye catching and viewable on all Mobile Devices (Responsive). The design is clean and user friendly. A well-balanced use of Dynamic imagery along with well-placed “Calls to Action” and the right amount of information on the main page is the key to showing the world that Pain HQ is a serious organization that users can come to for up-to-date information and support.

Mapping the user journey

Sitemap and wireframe designs show predetermined layouts to detail the site’s form and function. This phase is focused on organizing content and prioritizing user actions to achieve the optimal result.
